A days drive out to lake towada this is the sunset over the lake, lake towada is japans third deepest lake its depths reach 1,069 feet, just looking down into this water gives me a chill, it is absolutely gorgeous though, it is a volcanic crater which makes it even more exciting, along the drive to the lake is oirase gorge i swear its hard for me to even make it to the lake, i always get caught up hiking the trails and just do not want to leave, the forest is soooo green in the spring and the water sooo perfectly clear, i look forward to making this trip during the winter in the snow, the last winter trip i made was gorgeous but unfortunately my winter photos are not available to post. There is a rock formation that you can stop and see along the drive that tells the story of an angry woman ghost which i found interesting, you are not suppose to enter but i am the person that dies first in the movies and i had to go in :) it was neato in there, almost like a big cement lean-to. There are also numerous falls along the way all breath taking i dont feel my photos could begin to do them justice! So here is some of the beauty on the day drive!
