Walking Art

Ok so not literally walking art, but these are some things that to me are amazing that i get to see while taking a walk here in japan, little simple things to appreciate :) there isnt much to say about them the pictures say it all themselves, so i captured some tori gate photos, some really pretty flowers, and shinto shrine photos :) and lets not forget the christmas cactus bloom which resides in my home that would be the last photo the one that is the red flower with black and white background:)

Ohashi and some other randomness....

So we went to ohashi this weekend such a lovely setting in there and the food was Very good, also i have to mention this because alot of places here in japan drinks are REAL spendy and TINY, it was $480 for my gin and tonic which was not small and was not weak so that was nice! So i had a steak that comes out still cooking on a round black brick type of deal, was very tender and tasty plus they gave you a great sauce for dipping, also ordered what is like an eggroll on the outside but inside was cheese, shrimp, and what to me tasted like a milder parsley of some sort, it also had a great sweet and slightly spicey pepper sauce poured over it yummy, we also got some california rolls and dragon rolls very different from what you would get in the states and if you want something like a california roll i would suggest the dragon rolls over the cali rolls at ohashi! My husband had some yakitori that had a green pepper paste on it also VERY tasty, Id say this place probably costs about the same as a Tony Roma's only cheaper on the drinks! Next im putting some pics of my shrimp scampi that a put a little spin of my own on, by adding sweet smoked red pepper, it tasted real good if i do say so myself :P Also what appears to me to be some steam rolling from a factory with light shining on it i thought it looked neato but wish i could have gotten a clearer image, and a crane that i shot at night!

Some More

photos cannot forget the fireworks, church, and restaurant!

Indescribable Great Evening.......

But i can give it a shot, so as i said i was going to get photos of the gorge again and we will start with the drive, it was dark and the car was going pretty fast so no photos of the gorge but it was awesome in winter frozen waterfalls just an absolute ton of water falling into perfect formation and frozen in time literally, we were headed to the snow and ice festival , i saw this sign along the way bronze maidens it said and as touristish as things tend to be here i have never heard of the bronze maiden statue i looked for it the whole way after seeing the sign because id pretty much give an arm to have a picture of something you dont hear about or see all over this area of japan unfortunately I never saw those bronze bitches yes i said that! I told the man we have to go back during the day and find them, but so we arrive at the snow and ice festival OMG the colors and the lights so we hopped from pretty lit up building to pretty lit up building, they had great little sledding hills I love sledding like there is no tomarrow and it was a blast but the hill is so busy with kids, teenagers , and parents going down that it is slighty worrysom on ur way down i was thinking to myself plz dont hit a kid and a few times almost did, but my son leave it to him his first time down the hill theres this cute little japanese girl and hes going right for her and im like NOOOO plz dont hit her but as luck would have it he swept her right off of her feet, gomen nasai times 5 , oh and the husband had never been sledding in his entire spaniard life ubelivable to me being the thrill seeker that he is, so he got to try it and had a blast going down the hills tummy first like a penguin and trying to watch him like that while avoiding kids i laughed wayy too hard, then there was the drum and music show way too cool and gorgeous with the whole ice stage and colors, actual resaurants made totally out of ice , and we let the kiddos have a little sled time of there own while we hopped over to the ice bar soooo pretty in there and even though its all ice warmer than outside having a glass made of ice is soooooo freakin cool i saw it on travel channel once but never thought id ever be in an actual ice bar myself or igloo of any kind they give you a grip glove to drink ur drink , after we did some more sledding and there was a very awesome firework show i captured a few pics but the best part comes up and what do you know i had decided to put the camera away by then, it was an awesome evening though and after all of that we pretty much just slid our car right back down the mountain!

Ramen House and Culinary Arts...

Ok soooo im actually not a big fan of Ramen, But i can certainly understand it for those who are, There is sheer art to its preparation, and the dedication that the japanese put into this dish!
My husband however is a huge fan of Ramen so every now and then we visit a Ramen house so that he can indulge his senses, I still enjoy myself and just take in bits of my surroundings, I am also not a big fan of sweets but like Ramen i can appreciate why others do and its beauty I honestly do not know how people eat these things they simply look too good to eat, so tonight the husband and I visited the ramen house where i took some photos of the lights and then La Monde a japanese french bakery where we picked up some treats for him and the kids observe....
