ahhhh Trip to korea!

It is hard to even know where to start here, so i spent 10 days in korea while my husband was there on assignment for 6 mos, Arriving in korea was so exciting for me, i have heard so many horrible things about korea and most people view it well as a dirty version of japan is one thing i have been told, yes it absolutely was not as clean as far as garbage is concerned, they have trash bins near telephone poles but on the busy streets they fill up quickly by the end of the day it just looks like a pile of garbage, i just said to myself HA well atleast its all in a pile and they pick it all up every evening, atleast there not as uptight! I found the people were VERY friendly to my suprise so accomodating and helpful, i was greeted by the hotel owner an old korean guy every time i passed through the lobby, he would make some conversation and ask if i needed anything even give me free soda, my son juice boxes and im not picky about the rain so a hoody is fine but he insisted on giving me an umbrella when i would leave on a rainy day to walk around, then there is shopping in all the little shops throughout every street around me, OF COURCE there nice they want to sell stuff, if its all just a front to sell things i dont mind you can lie to me and be warm and inviting lol fake or not it was great that in every store people took intrest and conversated with huge inviting smiles! I would think that in a foreign country especially one such as korea that i would be nervous to walk the streets alone, but i fealt so comfortable there, i would walk the streets in the day shopping on my own and go out alone at night just a few blocks down the street to pick up food! There was an AWESOME little hot wing shop just a couple blocks away, and well it had been awhile since being in the states and about 1/4 mile from my hotel room was a mcdonalds yes yes i know going to asia and eating american food shame shame but its necessary sometimes, like at midnight when most everything else is closed and youve had a few sodju's. Everything is cheap in korea as well and you can have about anything you can think of custom made! OK so i better wrap this up last thing it was exhilerating walking the foreign streets of korea everywhere i looked there was something new and even the simplest things were so exciting ,i certainly hope to visit again one day!
